Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Startwork collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use our products and services.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as name, email address, phone number, organization name, role, login method, and authentication status.
  • Team and workspace information, such as organizations, members, projects, model configuration, billing, and usage status.
  • Local Tray and proxy runtime information, such as client version, device environment, work mode, connection status, error logs, and necessary diagnostic information.
  • AI collaboration context, such as requests, responses, session identifiers, tool calls, code change summaries, and file paths processed through the local proxy when relevant workflows are enabled.
  • Payment and transaction information, such as orders, invoices, payment status, balances, credits, settlement records, and supplier reconciliation information.

How We Use Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve account login, team collaboration, model routing, cost statistics, logs, billing, and work insight features.
  • To identify users, organizations, and permission boundaries, and to prevent unauthorized access, abuse, fraud, or security risks.
  • To complete billing, credit management, payments, supplier settlement, customer support, and troubleshooting.
  • To generate work records, team analysis, usage statistics, and diagnostic information when enabled by a user or organization administrator.
  • To comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements, dispute resolution, and contract performance needs.

AI Data and Model Training

  • Startwork does not use customer business data, code content, conversation content, or organization data to train Startwork general-purpose models.
  • When you configure third-party model providers or shared model supply, those providers may process data under their own terms. Startwork transmits necessary context within product boundaries, but third-party processing is governed by the provider terms.
  • If an organization enables log analysis, work insights, or diagnostic logging, related data is used only to provide those product capabilities, maintain records, and troubleshoot issues.

Information Sharing

  • We do not sell personal information or organization business data.
  • We may share necessary information with cloud services, payment services, notification services, model providers, data storage providers, and security service providers as required to provide the services.
  • We may disclose necessary information when required by law, courts, regulators, or security incident response obligations.
  • Organization administrators may view, manage, export, or delete member, project, usage, billing, log, and collaboration data within their permissions.

Security and Retention

  • We use access controls, encryption in transit, permission isolation, activity logs, and least-necessary access practices to protect data.
  • Retention periods depend on account status, organization configuration, legal requirements, accounting needs, dispute handling, and product functionality.
  • The local Tray may store session state, configuration, cache, and diagnostic logs on user devices. Some local data can be cleared through application settings, logout, or uninstall.

Your Rights

  • You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of personal information, subject to account status, organization permissions, legal obligations, and security requirements.
  • Organization data is generally managed by organization administrators on behalf of the organization. Members should contact their organization administrator for organization data requests.
  • You may stop using relevant features, turn off work mode, log out, or delete your account to reduce future processing.
